Cheesman Park is one of the most visually stimulating and entertaining parks in the city. Kick a soccer ball around, catch up on some reading, enjoy the playground, sip some beers and maybe toss the Frisbee. If you’re a pet owner, take your furry companion down one of the many scenic trails. Enjoy yoga classes during the weekend summer months or spend some time whacking golf balls at parks driving range. Given the park’s hectic atmosphere, you’ll learn to relax and enjoy what it has to offer.
Things to do
The best way to enjoy Water World is to arrive during the early morning hours on a weekday. Seriously, don't go near the place on a weekend. The lines to each attraction grow to be miles long. Once you’ve passed the crush of humanity, you’ll be able to enjoy hours in the wave pool, a handful of water slides, and multiple lazy rivers. The park allows you to bring in your own factory sealed beverages and food. But they do have vendors, and the food isn't too overpriced.
This field is a young and premier Major League Baseball stadium in the heart of downtown. Easy-access parking and affordable ticket prices make this an entertaining stop regardless if you're a huge baseball fan. Rock Pile seats are one of the best deals in all of baseball at $4 each. (But they sell out quickly). Certain amounts are sold in advance and the remainders are held until two hours prior to game time. First come first serve and expect a line.
