Death Valley National Park

While not exactly my idea of a fun time in the middle of summer at 115 degrees (46 C) or more, Death Valley is absolutely spectacular any time of year. If you're going in the summer and have a good car that's not going to overheat it offers nice views from the road in places like Twenty Mule Team Canyon and Badwater Salt Flats, otherwise a hike in Fall Canyon is highly recommended! Check out the pdf for visitors offered at the National Park website.
