Apart from the fact this is a religious building don't let that put you off one little bit. As you come around the quay and you first see, its looks like it either landed there from a strange planet or grew in some organic twist of fate. Its got a pretty spooky vibe to it. It was built around the 1870's but apparently the site was of religious importance from the 7th century. If your lucky you might catch a musical recital which we did. The Cathedral is designed by a guy called William Burges...

.... William Burges also designed Cardiff Castle, the Tower house in London and loads of other things including chalice's for St Paul and the Vatican. The cathedral is a maze of gargoyles and statues and is a must for anyone who likes architecture :)
