What is so special about a train station? Not much, unless it also happens to be one the most frequented landmarks in Chicago. Set next to the river in the heart of the city behind modernized neon signs and concrete lies historic Union Station. One need only walk down the aging pink marble staircases and look up at the five story atrium ceiling to be taken back to the roaring 20’s. The station is home to Amtrak and Metra rail lines and hosts a variety of restaurants and retailers.
