BEEN THERE! WANNA GO THERE!

This is a small cemetery and memorial for the Americans dead on WWII.

The place is really beautiful and the chapel alone with its HUGE mural detailing WWII bases and operations is worth the travel.

It's always really quiet, never seen more than 4-5 people at the same time.

You can either go by bike, taxi or the tourist bus has a stop.

And don't forget to visit nearby Madingley.

The Museum of Zoology

recommendation by tomr

This is a gem of a museum, located just off Downing Street.

It's only small - you'd probably need less than an hour to go round - but it's packed full of skeletons and stuffed creatures.

Walking round, you get the impression it's probably not changed at all in the last 30 years, but that adds to the charm.

The whale skeleton hanging outside is rather impressive too.

Well worth a visit - our favourite museum in Cambridge.

The botanical gardens are located about 10-15 minutes walk from the city centre.

The grounds are impressive - particularly the rock and bog gardens .

While the garden is at its best during the summer, they're worth a visit even during winter! The glass houses, containing tropical and desert plants are warm year round!
