Open to the public year round. McGowan Lake Fish Hatchery is filled with interesting information about the speckled brook trout. About one million speckled brook trout are raised here each year and are released as fall fingerlings or yearlings. Tours are available at the McGowan Lake Fish Hatchery upon request. Due to the amount of fish, the Fish Hatchery is also a great place to go birding where you may see terns, eagles, osprey and at dusk the chimney swifts. Hours: 9-5pm/Phone: 682-2576
