Get the name of the cathedral church dedicated to Santa Maria and the fountain which chairs the square. This area was much smaller than the current because, several houses were built along the wall behind Calle Fernán González, property of the church of Santiago de la Fuente, attached to the Cathedral. The bishop Don Pablo de Santa María ordered demolished, at 1429, to to expand the square and to make it a more dignified view of the Basilica.
