Apart from Rio, there is iguazu falls. It is between Brazil's border and Argentina, both countries have about half of the falls each. There are over 200 breath taking waterfalls to see.

The Guarani legend of the falls is that they originated when a jealous forest god enraged by a warrior escaping downriver by canoe with a young girl, caused the riverbed to collapse in front of the lovers, producing precipitous falls over which the girl fell, and at their base, turned into a rock.The warrior survived as a tree overlooking his fallen lover.
