This is hands-down one of the coolest churches I've ever seen. Architect Henry Hobson Richardson was inspired by the ancient churches of southern France when he designed this landmark in the late 1880s. It recently underwent a much needed $47 million restoration project, too. You don't even need to go inside to be awed. Seeing the exterior is mesmerizing enough.
