Such a strange place. Back in the 1950s, this town on the banks of the Salton Sea was a vacation boom town. But after the lake's salt levels grew and its water became less oxygenated, the lake went through massive, disgusting fish die-offs. Couple that with a flood in the 1980s that destroyed much of the town, and you've got what is now a community of 270 people. Yeah, doesn't sound like much of a tourist destination, but seeing this place is fascinating in a very unique way.
