It's the main square in Bogotá. By its side you will see the Cathedral (Catedral Primada) and the Sagrario Chapel. Also the Guildhall is on one of its sides, and the Justice Palace. It's the heart of more numerous and important buildings. Right in the middle you can see a statue of Simon Bolivar, like most big cities have in Colombia.
