This is an old indian area back to pre-columbian era. Nowadays is an area where you can find good food, bars. restaurants, a flea market on Sundays, and antics' shop. The streets are very beautiful, colonial and republic.
Things to do
It's the main square in Usaquén, a really beautiful place to sit down and just enjoy the view of the beautiful colonial buildings around it, or simply participate in the cultural events that take place there during the weekends.
It's an architectural jewel with religious art in it. it has a collection of paintings by Gregorio Vásquez de Arce y Ceballos. Its main alterpiece, carved in wood with gold leaves, adds an overwhelming feeling to those who see it.
You can get an excellent view of the city from up there, and when the sky is totally free of cluds, you can even apreciate the Sabana of Bogotá. It's an ideal place to go for a walk through nature, very pure air. Wedding celebrations take place there too. You can walk up there up calle 119, as you go pass schools and convents on each side of the road.
The museum keeps most of objects that belonged to this general, who fought for the independance of Colombia.
You can also see documents, shields and maps of Bogotá.
It's on the second floor of the Big Villa El Cedro, also used for weddings and social events. Opens only during week days, from 8:30am-12:30pm and then 2:00pm-5:00pm.
