Sant Felip Neri is a extremely peaceful square near Barcelona's cathedral.
Apart from its beauty, Sant Felip Neri has a very dramatic history: some kids died in it while they were looking for refuge when there was a bomb attack. Morevover, during the Spanish Civil war, some excutions took place there.

The plaza is most famous for it's terribly marked walls from executions and/or bombings. It's interesting that depending on who you talk to about the genesis of the scarred walls you'll hear different things - anarchists executing priests, the fascist army bombing a orphanage...
