The Ottobar is one my favorite live music venues in the DC-Baltimore are. Centrally located, this small-sized venue is where you come to hear the next big thing in music. The drinks are cheap and the lounge jukebox always has some classic hits pumping. It's known as the place where the hipsters hang out, but the real reason you'll find the Ottobar so appealing is that nobody cares who you are. Sure it's sort of a dive, but that's part of the fun of any alternative music venue.
Things to do
One of the more historic ball parks in Major League Baseball, this venerable stadium has seen some great players over the years. I remember watching so many Cal Ripken Jr. games back in the day. I thought the food and the beer at the stadium was great, so was the layout. And I was really surprised at how nice everybody was. The game I caught here last year was as pleasant a baseball experience I've had at a baseball game in my l ife.
Druid Hill Park has been a sanctuary for me in the last 2 years. It's the place I go for jogging, bird watching, or even just sitting still.
In fall, the park turned orange, and red. In spring, all spring flowers show their true colors. I love cherry blossom here better than in DC. Even in hot summer, the part offers shade and wind to cool me down.
