The Acropolis in Athens is one of the greatest historic sites in Greece and is for this reason quite touristy. However, don't let that put you off visiting. The sight of the rest of Athens from the top is enough alone to draw attention, but the quality of the stone work, and the size of it are also good reasons to pay the small amount to have a look round. It is worth pointing out that students with International Student Cards get in free.
