Ended WWII, the Anne Frank House was condemned to demolition in the 50's. Fortunately, the building has been protected from demolition and now is one of the most visited spots in Amsterdam,
The building hosts a Museum that reproduces the place (Achterhuis) as it was during war time where the Frank family use to hide from the nazi persecution.
Near the building is the horse-chestnut tree, the Anne Frank Tree, that the diarist used to describe as her only view from her hideout.
