cultured

This monument isn't too far off the freeway that runs between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. For the most part it's just a nice quiet place where you get a great view of the Sandia mountains, the Rio Grande, and the handsome cottonwood trees that line its banks but there's also a trail with historical markers. The highlight is the Kuana ruins, excavated in the 30s the ruins date back to the early 14th c and are believed to have been inhabited at the time of the Spanish conquest.
