To the south of the old city, there is the main door, Bab al-Yemen. From there to the north, following the main way and the surroundings, untill arrive to the Souk al-Milh, there are plenty of stalls and shops that offer incense, jewellery, silver, spices, antiques, tradicional clothes and jambiyyas ( the traditional yemeni knife) Don't forget to haggle!!

Around Tahreer square, there are many shop very cheapand good quality if you are looking clothes.
If you position yourself rightly in the exit of the military museum and you begins to walk along the street that goes out to your left side. You are in the street mas commercial and animated(inspired) by the city: jeweler's shops, clothes, complements, etc. Here also the price is negotiated
If you are looking for wester designers and big malls centers, to escape of the hustle of the streets, you can go to Libyan Centre (al-Jaazar street) or Sana'a Mall (Ring road) It is the elite of the city!!
Around Souk al-Milh, there are many very ols bulding (Samsara) that never been repaired, after it was destroyed in attacck between tribal factions 50 years ago aproximality. Some of them, have been repaired and opened as tourist shops, like samsara al-Nahas, samsara al-Halaqah and samsara al-Mansurah
