Open Mind is a small record store on Divisadero, not far off of Haight St.. They have a good selection of used vinyl (and CDs too) and a smaller section for new vinyl. They also have listening stations if you want to give something a try.
Open 12:00-7:00 everyday.
Recycled Records is a used-only record store in the lower haight with a large selection of jazz, blues and rock. They also have the walls filled with singles and LPs, and have some punk and indie.
They also have some collectible books.
Open daily 10:00-9:00.
Thrillhouse records is a newer punk and hardcore record store in the Bernal Heights/Mission district area. They have lots of new and used records, some t-shirts of local bands, and a small selection of pins and zines. Thrillhouse also functions as a label and a distro.
Open daily from 12:00ish-8:00ish.
Record store in the Castro. It's big, has DVDs, videotapes, CDs, tapes and vinyl. They've got a really wide selection of genres.

Independent record shop where you can try your luck and see what turns up. They cater to vinyl seekers, but have some books and some memorabilia (um, and 8-tracks, did I mention that they have 8-tracks?). You can find some weird stuff here, probably one of the better record shops.
