Antique and flea markets are popular in Leipzig. Flea markets are held the first weekend of the month: Saturday at the Hauptbahnhof Platform 24 and Sunday at the Alte Messe Hall 13. Arguably, the best market is the large antique and flea market held usually the last weekend of the month at the agra-exhibition ground (Tram Line 11 from the main station) in Leipzig-Markkleeberg. This market is “ohne Neuwaren” (without new goods), meaning no cheap plastic junk and discounted socks and underwear.
