BEEN THERE! WANNA GO THERE!

Tattered Cover is like any great independent bookstore, it’s large but not overwhelming. It’s well-organized and comfortable, as if you’re lounging in an old friend’s living room. Laid out over two floors, this bookworms dream has everything from an extensive periodical and book collection, knickknacks, coffee, and a non-pretentious knowledgeable staff. Tattered Cover has more character than all of those big box monster bookstore retailers combined. Best of all, they don't play music.

Watercourse Foods

recommendation by grege

Watercourse Foods, located just east of downtown Denver, is a fantastic restaurant that offers delicious food for vegans and non-vegans. Not to worry, the menu caters to everyone and has everything has from tofu, protein substitutes and your basic carnivorous additions. They also have fresh squeezed juices, organic wines, vegan milkshakes, homemade bread, gourmet soups, and a polite knowledgeable wait staff. The desert selection, which is to die for, is also vegan friendly.
