I don’t go into this place often because I’m afraid I will spend too much money. It is so tempting. Their deli and grocery section is pretty much out of a dream. I have admittedly fantasized before that the contents of my own kitchen could resemble anything like the Goddess and the Grocer. My recent favorite is their Finger Lickin Chicken sandwich. Pulled roasted chicken tossed in BBQ sauce with melted muenster and coleslaw on a Kaiser roll. It is filling and rich, but so very satisfying.

Really excellent and affordable, independent art store in Wicker Park/Logan Square. A real find if you’re trying to support indie shops, completely on par (and if not more) with Dick Blick and Utrecht. I came in here for a 45% off sale on all Prisma markers – they’re usually super expensive! I got a 24-market set for around $50 bucks. Needless to say I’m going to be coming back here a lot to check out the specials. The staff was extremely nice, outgoing, and full of recommendations.
Probably the best antique store in Chicago. Salvaged architectural materials from the XXth century. 60.000 square feet full of beautiful objects and ideas. Better than a museum.
