I have no complaints with this resort. The price is right – about $130 for a Court Yard room – and there are tons of amenities. There are three pools, a 36-hole golf course, two theaters, a comedy club, a fitness center, and free Wi-Fi in each room. They even have an indoor makeshift “Bourbon Street” that’s a cute attempt at recreating the ambiance of the real thing down in New Orleans. It’s a little cheesy, okay really cheesy, but their Jambalaya restaurant serves great food.
Places to stay
I stayed here once because my more affluent girlfriends persuaded me to. Hotel Baker is definitely more “luxurious” than the Days Inns I’m used to staying at. Anyways, cheapskate me forked up $50 more bucks than I’m used to and had a wonderful, read, wonderful time. We did a bed and breakfast package on the weekday and it was $180. The food was phenomenal and I definitely left feeling very pampered. Oh and the sheets are Egyptian threads which means they are very, very soft.
