We stayed in the “Penny” room at the Copper Penny Inn and had a delightful time. This old 1860’s farmhouse belongs to a very kind host named Michael. I suppose we were in the master bedroom and it showed. I’ve stayed in a lot of bed & breakfasts over the years, but this room’s bathroom was particularly inventive. I really liked the exposed brick chimney in there. There's a decorative motif throughout the entire home that's very "wood-sy” and warm. Would definitely spend another weekend here.
Places to stay
I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing weekend. My girlfriends surprised me with reservations at the Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa. There’s a lot of wildlife on the property so you have the opportunity to spend part of the day just walking around the trails, feeing ducks if you choose to. That’s what we did. Later in the day we left for the spa and my masseuse was definitely a professional. Nothing beats a relaxing swim in a pool after a deep tissue massage.
