This hotel is quite curious; the concept behind it is: you are living in a college, and that is taken to the extreme. You will seat in students chairs and so on. Cool and different
Places to stay
I like this hotel for two reasons: location and the way of embedding the new design in an old structure. It is a 4 -stars but it might be perfectly a 5-stars.
Pay attention to this hotel and don´t be discouraged by its 2 stars. It is a really cheap and chic place. It is closed to Gare Perrache ( therefore very convenient) and its rooms are well furnished and offer wifi. Price: from 70 euros double room. What else? I like this option
La Tour Rose is the name of one of the icons of Lyon and it is also the name of this nice hotel. I love the location, right in the Vieux Lyon and very closed to the small bistrot of Rue Boeuf.
A bright and airy, ultra-modern building designed by prize winning architect Renzo Piano, the Italian architect most famous for his work on the Pompidou Centre, the Hotel de la Cité opened in November 2006 and is one of Lyon's newest hotels. It is set between the river Rhône and the vast Tête d'Or park, at the heart of the famous urban and architectural project known as Cité Internationale.
