Cute and European bed and breakfast with $79 rooms. This place is absolutely adorable. I stayed here once while visiting a friend at Northwestern. Apparently it used to be a residence hotel for young professional women when it first opened so a lot of its structure is still designed around a dormitory. If you stay in a smaller room expect to use their shared bath that is gender specific and not as frightening as it sounds. Trust me it’s much more elegant and private than you’d expect.
Places to stay
This place has one of the best hotel restaurants I’ve ever been to. The Orrington’s very old and maintains a lot of neat, antique charms that make this a way better experience than any chain hotel. It’s also an animal friendly hotel with pet rooms and other amenities that will make you and your beloved friend feel right at home and not shunned. They even provided us with treats and a little doggie bowl. Beware the rooms are very European and thus small.
