Amazing hotel in the great neighborhood of Palermo Hollywood.
If you like design this is the place, wifi with good coberture inside the rooms. The breakfast is not the best but quite complete. 10 minutes walking to Cortazar square or like everyone called Serrano square which is full of atmosphere everynigth.

Hotel Bauen

This hotel was built for the 1978 World Cup, but never really gained a lot of popularity, and struggled mightily during the peso crisis in the mid-1990s, and in 2001, closed for good. But it's employees banded together to re-open the hotel, and now have repaired nearly all of its original 200 rooms. They're not the fanciest rooms you'll find in town, but they're very cheap (starting at $55 USD a night). And if you're into 1970s architecture, this will definitely be an interesting stay.

Don't expect to be dazzled by this place. The bathrooms are sparse and not the cleanest you'll find in BA, and the rooms can be pretty loud. But what saves this place is it's stellar, personal service and the fact that it's within walking distance of a number of bars and restaurants. So if the folks in the next room are being obnoxious, you can easily get away to some entertainment nearby. It's also very affordable, with rooms ranging from $50-$90 a night.

Hotel babel

recommendation by johnbrown

Set in the heart of colonial San Telmo, Buenos Aires' oldest and most charming neighborhood, Hotel Babel is an ideal base from which to enjoy everything the city has to offer. The boutique hotel is tucked away on a quiet street but still close the hustle and bustle of downtown Buenos Aires, Puerto Madero and other notable sites.
Nine comfortable rooms are housed in a historical mansion that various freethinkers, writers and intellectuals from centuries past once called home. Hotel Babel...
