Nice hotel in the upper price range, but super super close to downtown. This is a good bet for those looking for a place to stumble to after a late night out without having to worry about driving or taking a taxi.
All the rooms have free wifi access. You can do self-service laundry there and there's a pool and a gym. The selling point is the location, but it's a really nice hotel.
Rooms are about 225 a night and up.
Places to stay
Downtown hotel, good place to stay if you're doing a lot downtown, it's right next to the river, and has the advantage of not being on Interstate 35 like a lot of the other hotels, so it is a bit quieter.
A normal double room runs about 200 a night, depending on the season.
Close to many downtown venues. It's not cheap, but it comes with all the amenities, pool, gym, hot tub and wifi.
Rooms start around 170 and go up from there.
Good hotel that's quite a bit cheaper than the downtown hotels. Perfect if you don't need to be downtown or don't plan on going back and forth to your hotel. It's clean, has wifi, and has the free continental style breakfast so you can grab a muffin and some coffee.
About 60 a night and up during the high season (like SXSW) and 30 and up during the low season.
Cheap place to stay in Austin...not close to downtown, but the price might be worth the trouble. Nothing fancy, but a decent and clean room, and muffins and coffee or tea in the morning.
During the high season rooms start around 50 a night.
