This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Located in the historical district of downtown Albany, this boutique hotel prides itself on its luxury accommodations. We were in town for a wedding so sparing no expense, we stayed in one of their fireplace rooms. Our room included a two-person Jacuzzi, a really fluffy down bed cover/heating pad, an HD television, and really beautiful furniture. I think we got special accommodations at the restaurant downstairs, too.
Places to stay
This is a truly fine B&B. The home is a beautifully restored European-style home located on “Mansion Row.” Make sure to make your reservations in advance because its six rooms do tend to fill up. Our room had a working fireplace, a claw-foot tub, beautiful 19th century furnishing, and one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast here was memorable and there’s even an outdoor garden patio. The only troubling thing was their “sixteen and over” policy.
