I went here with a friend and couldn’t believe the decoration on their pastries. Many of them were very artistic and my boyfriend couldn’t believe that they were even editable. I swear to you that the coffee is even better than Starbucks. This place truly won me over and I am excited to bring my family and friends here. The staff is super cute and actually act like they're happy you're there, too. Christmas is coming up and I think I’ll have to pick up a box of pastries for everyone try.
Eating & Drinking
After a hard day at work I usually head over to this cafe to lounge out. This cafe is perfect for any occasion and even has late-night indie film screenings that’s cool for the area. Beyond loitering here and drinking coffee, I have eaten at this cafe multiple times. I try to eat healthy so their vegetarian options are really great. Some of these include fresh salads, veggie burritos, and a variety other non-meat entrees. This is the perfect place to wind down.
The Jacob Burns Film Center is superb source for indie and art house films. First off, the JBFC is a non-profit organization that also provides classes to the public on making film, etc. They often have lectures here so I usually make a point to go. I recently graduated from college so I'm trying to keep my brain sharp so these free seminars are definitely appreciated. Otherwise this is a great place for catching movies. You should expect to see films from the Criterion Collection here.
Going to the West Gate Lounge was seriously one of the most amazing times I’ve had dancing at a club. The West Gate bills itself as “New York’s Finest Latin Nightclub” and holds Latin dancing events every Saturday starting at 8 pm. I’ve heard some of the best salsa orchestras here which has in turn really changed my overall taste in music. I have never been salsa dancing before, but I plan to enroll in their dance lessons soon.
