Close to the sea, between a lot of expensive restaurants that offer you the "best paella ever" you can find this small and typical restaurant, where the cookers are valencian woman and you can eat a very tasty paella or sea black rice (very typical too) cheaper than usual (menu for 12 euros).

Good bar for drinking or taking coffee in the middle of El Carmen, close to Caballeros st. It has han area outside to enjoy the Valencia's sun if the weather is good.
All the drinks are quite cheap, and the Negrito's square is quite beautiful.
Coffe in the center of the Carmen. Good cocktails, teas, and "agua de valencia".
A hidden bar, close to the universities campus. It has spectacular sandwiches, salads and desserts. Apart of being quite cheap.
Typical spanish food, it is, tapas, and good desserts.
If you are in the Carmen, this is a good choice.
