Ice Monster, located at Yongkang street, is the most popular ice desserts shop in the city. They serve the usual ice cream, of course, but their specialty is the traditional shaved ice with a great variety of toppings to choose: fruits, beans, condensed milk, sorbet, ice cream balls, rice, jelly...

It should be noted that Ice Monster closed its doors in January 2010. A new Yong Kang 15 shaved ice shop just recently opened and has the former Ice Monster owner serving as a technical adviser so there are a lot of similarities; however Ice Monster had larger portions and a bigger menu.
