Eating & Drinking
This is one of the classic spots in North Beach, San Francisco. In an almost impossible corner (see foto), one of the best Focaccia I've ever tasted.
Nice little, quiet cafe with free WiFi. Very close to Union Square, Cable Car tram is also one street away.
The best Ethiopian restaurant in San Francisco (the east bay has some places that I think might be a bit better). Situated in the lower haight, it's a great place to go for lunch or dinner. Reasonable prices and the service is always really great. They have some interesting imported beers and I totally recommend the honey wine.
If it's your first time eating ethiopian food, just let them know and they'll give you a crash course.
A sandwich deli that's open until 2am for those who leave the bars hungry. This place has great fake meats and a huge variety of breads and options like avocado and sprouts. Really really good. There's only a couple of tables inside, but if they're all taken you can take your food to a nearby park for a picnic. Duboce park is really close as is Alamo Square.
Most sandwiches are around $7.
