Louie's

recommendation by yslove

Located in the heart of Brown- town, Louie's is a Providence/ Brown tradition. The food is cheap, plentiful, and super delicious- especially after pulling an all nighter or after a long night out (it opens at 5 am). You can't really go wrong at a place like Louie's. Everything is delicious, but the buffalo chicken ravioli and the granola pancakes were featured in the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives! Hours of operation are 5am to 3pm, 7 days a week.

E&O Tap

recommendation by cole

This is a great little little neighborhood spot I discovered while in town. It's a bit loud and the service can be decent depending on what you look like (ie, if you're a hipster or not). I was charged a different price for my drinks each time I went in there, but they were still always pretty cheap. They have a great tap beer selection and are always playing great tunes.

Wickenden Pub

recommendation by cole

This tiny pub looks just like a New England pub should. With it dark woodwork and saloon style bathroom doors, it feels straight out of the 18th century. The bartenders can be a bit snooty if you don't know them, and it could probably use a fresh coat of paint. But that just means it has plenty character. They don't serve food, either.

This awesome breakfast spot has a massive omelette menu and, well, pretty much everything on the menu is solid; the pancakes, oatmeal, the spicy red potato home fries . The only problem is that it gets super packed with Brown kids on weekend mornings, so get there around 9am if you want a table. You can get a feast here for under $10. They also have great daily specials.
