My girlfriends and I always go out to Mahoney’s for “Ladies’ Night” on Thursdays. Drinks are just $3 for all ladies. Growing up in New York is beautiful in the summer, but the winters are brutal. That’s where Mahoney’s comes in. There’s something about thick beer and rich food that just makes the weather a little more tolerable. Their Vassar crab cakes are absolutely amazing. Between us ladies we often end up splitting a baked brie cheese log too. It’s not the best for you, but it’s to die for.
Eating & Drinking
Every time my wife and I are in the Hudson Valley we make a point to stop at Soul Dog. I am a sucker for gourmet dogs and Soul Dog knows what’s up and it’s cheap. They have toppings like guacamole, roasted poblano pepper salsa, cole slaw, caramelized onions – the list goes on. The only thing I wish was if they could put some “chef’s picks” on the hotdog menu. I’m better now but I originally had trouble getting the ingredients just right.
