Tom’s Diner is a Southside staple. Teens grew up here secretly smoking cigarettes while grandparents enjoyed senior portions a few booths down. These days it’s the same scenario, except the management has changed since the South Side’s become more gentrified. No longer do they have awesome graffiti walls where you used to find autographs from bands like the misfits. But it is still dirty as ever, if that’s what you find charming about greasy spoon diners. It's open 24/7.
