This is just a great place to relax if you've got a couple hours to waste. There's lots of board games on hand and the vibe is super chill before the sun goes down. But at night it does get pretty lively on all three floors, which each seem to have their own ambiance. They do some live music during the week (acoustic and jazz, mostly) and DJs spin from Thurs.-Sun. The drinks are pretty cheap and there's a stripper pole on the main floor, but I'm not quite sure why.
Eating & Drinking
I love a bar that has balls enough not to put a single TV in it. The main floor here has a solid jukebox as the main entertainment, and that's just how I like it. It's a bit hipsterish, but not so much you'll feel out of place without skinny jeans and a pair of Chuck Taylors. It was built by former Sam Adams brewmaster William Reed and his partner Paul Kimport, and all the beers on tap are homegrown.
