If you’re looking for a unique, intimate café experience with weird and interesting art plastered on the walls I’d recommend Van Goghs. A lot of young, hip college kids hang out here all day, doing “homework” (aka facebooking), playing board games, and guzzling coffee. The food here is delicious and they have a lot of vegetarian options so that's key to me. Save room for one of their desserts! Their sour cream velvet cake is amazing, rich, and served with walnuts and brown sugar.
Eating & Drinking
It’s like this place was made for me. There are pin-ups of bombshells plastered all over the walls, weird furniture, leopard prints, and most famously – a stripper pole, dead and center. It sounds trashy but it’s all done in style. The food is the bomb, too. It’s creative, plentiful, and inexpensive. It’s a great place to go for either eating or just sitting at the bar doing some people watching. You’ll catch a ton of regulars here because it’s pretty much beloved by locals.
