My fave spot for dim sum! The scene: old school Chinese banquet hall with dim sum served from carts that are rolled throughout the dining area. The lowdown: Don't worry if you don't speak Chinese! The carts have pictures on them =) Otherwise, enjoy a FEAST for cheap!! It's best to get there early on a weekend, before noon, for the freshest dim sum and the most variety. Take a map, it's difficult to find!Phone: (212) 941-0911

It's a speakeasy with a hot dog twist... yes, I said hot dog!! You enter PDT (Please Don't Tell) through the Crif Dogs by way of a phone booth on the left when you walk in the door. Once inside you can order amazing cocktails ($14) and hot dogs and tater tots. Yum!!! You should make reservations at 3pm, the day of your visit. Or show up and leave your name at the door and they will call you when a booth frees up. Super quirky place!Phone: (212) 614-0386
This tiny shop offers an incredible variety of unusual ice cream flavors - Lychee, Red Bean, Avocado, Almond Cookie, Taro - in addition to more traditional flavors like chocolate, vanilla, etc. The ice cream is fantastic and homemade, so I recommend you get adventurous! My favorite is the Zen Butter, a mix of peanut butter ice cream and sesame seeds. It's great to stop here in the summer, and worth the wait on what is usually a very long line! =)Phn: (212) 608-4170
