This bar is in a 209-year old house that the original owner allegedly built and offered as a residence to Napoleon in 1821 as a refuge during his exile. He never came, but lots drinkers have since. This may be one of the coolest bars in the country. And it's not your typical French Quarter bar. It's fairly tame. People are well behaved and it's relatively inexpensive. Locals recommend the Pimm's Cup and muffuletta.
