fresh & funky

Located on Madison’s hipster-centric, Williamson Street, Roman Candle Pizzeria serves up New York style thin-crust and quick drinks. What’s unique about Roman Candle is their pizza toppings. Ever think to put roasted asparagus, portabella mushrooms, or even walnuts on your pizza? I say just try it first. All their ingredients are locally sourced, which is key if you’re a conscious (or maybe picky) eater. It’s also super kid friendly. They’ve got Legos and books to distract them while you eat.

Genna's Lounge

recommendation by barry

Genna’s is one of the best happy hours in town. Between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm (Monday-Friday) they offer free chips and salsa, hot wings, cheese cubes, and ‘lil smokies. Plus, all draft beer is 40% off – this includes the good stuff like Stella, Hoppalicious, etc. The crowd here is really different (corporate types, students, post-graduates, hipsters, etc.). The best time to go here is in the summer when the patio’s open.
