Rua das Portas de Santo Antão it’s probably the street downton with more restaurants so it’s hard to choose one. If you’re in the mood for Italian food, I strongly recommend Locanda Italiana. We liked it so much that we came back to have our last lunch at Lisbon there.
Delicious plates at really good price.
Eating & Drinking
One of the best places to have some Bacalao specialties, the typical thing to have on Lisbon. This restaurant is very fair priced for the quality of the food. In fact, I’d say is cheap so prepare yourself for some wating outside. Believe me, you won’t regret it.
Barrio Alto (High Neighborhood) is the best place to go out on Lisbon. It’s so much fun! It’s full of bars and pubs with different types of music and, compare to the prices I’m used to, it’s pretty cheap. Don’t miss the the places at Travessa dos fiels de Deus, they have great live music!
Also, next to The funicular stop, there's a park with great views of the San Jorge Castle and the Alfama neighborhood.
Come to where the chicken is! Traditional Portuguese restaurant specializing in bbq chicken with "Piri-Piri" (Chili sauce), but everything from the grilled octopus, to the garlic prawns are equally fantastic. SUPER CHEAP. 3 people can have 2 beers each, and a variety of main courses for under 25 euros.
Its sooo good and you can expect to wait for a table if you arrive after 8pm on ANY night of the week.
In the Chiado area, if you're looking for a nice place to eat and cheaply, this coffee meets all requirements.
The food is very good mix of local dishes and sandwiches and burgers.
It has a patio with tables, where, weather permitting, you can have lunch or dinner.
About 15 € per person. The octopus à lagareiro is amazing!
