This swanky Northtown joint is owned by former pro baseball player Jeff Kelso, but the focus here is martinis, not sports. Over 100 specialty drinks grace the menu of this place, as does a list of above average Italian influenced bar food. Singles on the hunt and families with children will be equally comfortable here.

When you think of Kansas City cuisine, you usually think of steaks, burgers and barbecue sauce. But this french restaurant is trying pretty damn hard to combat that mentality. For a while now they've been serving up some of the best french food in the area, and while the prices here aren't necessarily any cheaper than they would be in New York or Chicago, that's probably more a sign of the quality than snobbishness. This family run joint is as it's cozy and charming as they come.
