As a kid I mostly substituted water for A&W root boot thanks to Hey Hot Dog. My own kids unfortunately won’t have the same pleasure, but they sure do try. Hey Hot Dog specializes in specialty dogs that are insanely cheap. Right now I’m hooked on “The King of Queens” dog that’s served with guacamole, sour cream, and bacon. The root beer is served in frosty mugs. They’ve even got this thing where you can take home half or full gallons of the stuff straight from the tap.
Eating & Drinking
This is one of Joliet’s best restaurants. If you’re looking for a nice night out, and have a little extra dough to spend, I certainly recommend Joliet. The food is thoughtful and will leave you thinking about it for days (especially when you return home to Ramen and grilled cheese like me). I really like the atmosphere here, too. All the furniture and dinner utensils are mismatched but it strangely works. I love a place with an artful eye. Oh the wine list is huge! And it’s pretty affordable.
