Pepper Sprout

recommendation by glenna

It may look like a storefront, but it’s really a five-star restaurant. Pepper Sprout is really unique: narrow eating area, high, tin-covered ceilings, interesting artwork, and exposed brick on the walls. The menu’s eclectic and changes often with the season. I had the recommended pork tenderloins (with sweet onion and golden raisin sauce all over) and I was very pleased. It makes me sad and hungry just thinking about them. The staff’s very attentive and knows pays attention to every detail.

fresh & funky

Walked in here randomly when I was in town visiting a friend at school. The waiter recommended we try a “panzerotti,” which ended up being like a rolled up pizza burrito, deep-fried, and covered in marinara sauce. Needless to say, I was quite stuffed (and feeling rather guilty) afterward. But damn, was it good. Everyone here seemed to be really enjoying themselves. I could tell there were a lot of regulars in the joint. I wish I had a pizza place like this in my town.
