This old school Italian joint in an off-the-beaten-path part just west of the northern edge of downtown is perhaps the most perfect example of classic Italian dining in Chicago. The place is tiny, always bustling, and the food is phenomenal, especially the Penne alla Vodka. It's well worth every one of the $21 it costs. And the service is as professional as you'll find. Also, every time I've been here I've sat within ten feet of a celebrity of some sort.
