This is the kind of bar I wanted to go to since I first wanted to go to bars. It's hip, but not snobby. It's swank, but not uncomfortable. It's pretty much what I dreamed a big city bar would feel like. This dark-as-they-come joint was an apartment years ago, but these days it's home to cheap, well-made cocktails, a cool staff, and great music (especially soul night on the first Wednesday of the month). They only take cash and there's not a TV in the joint.
