Stopped at this bar/sub shop and had a pretty good sandwich. Really dug the vibe of the joint. Definitely had the look and feel of a college town place. They regularly have live music (sometimes during summer days people will play acoustic sets on the patio). And at night the place books some touring acts. We weren't really there for the drinks, though. The food was good and cheap and sure as heck beat Subway.
Eating & Drinking
Some friends of mine that went to SIU told me I had to go to this place, and having been there I see why. It's the perfect college town dive bar in a city that's surprisingly full of them. The clientele was diverse and the drinks were insanely cheap (like they are in most college towns). They have a lot of live music here, which means it can get pretty busy. But if you get there early enough you can get a table and enjoy yourself regardless of the band.
