It's tough to miss this massive Amarillo steakhouse. It's one of the most well known spots in town, mostly for it's 72-ounce The Texas King steak and the eating contest around it. If you can eat the meal - plus bread roll with butter, baked potato, ranch beans, shrimp cocktail, and salad - the thing's free. If not, you have to fork over $72. Since 1959, 40K people have attempted the feat, and nearly 7K have succeeded. Aside from the novelty - and there's plenty of it - the steaks here are solid.
